Pittsburgh, PA March 2015. Westside Story, a boutique where fashion’s love story is brought to life and Lola Sims PR, a Pittsburgh native who has found success in both the Music and Entertainment Industry, have banded together to form a collective dedicated to showcasing the best Pittsburgh has to offer through informationals, events, and entertainment. The kickoff event for the collective is the first annual pop-up shop and branding seminar that is set to take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12- 5:00 p.m. at the Father Ryan Arts Center, located at 420 Chartiers Ave. McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Based around the concept #CarpePittsburgh derived from the well known term Carpe Diem, “Seize Pittsburgh” introduces the city to a new way of thinking. With the recent boom of Pittsburgh based entrepreneurs and start-ups making waves amongst the influential 18-35 demographic, #CarpePittsburgh is here to prove that there are still viable opportunities in Pittsburgh and the city is basically what you make it.

“Pittsburgh use to be a city that people couldn’t wait to leave, but now I think that’s changing,” says Westside Story Co-Owner Natasha Slade. ” I myself left but I’m back and I now can see the valuable opportunities and wealth Pittsburgh has compared to other cities. We’re just trying to make it more visible and obtainable through information, events and entertainment.”

Tickets for the Pop-Up Shop & Branding Seminar range in price from $20 General Admission, Seminar & Pop-Up Shop $45 and $60 for VIP seating online or in person at Westside Story, Femi Boutique, or Thailand Beauty. All media requests should be directed to LolaSims@gmail.com
